It has been a couple of weeks since I have updated our blog. We have been quite busy around the Shout household! 
My parents, Grammy and Grandpa (which Maddy now refers to them as) and my brother (aka Uncle Stinky Mouse... Maddy again) came for Maddox's first birthday. It is crazy to believe how fast a year has gone by and even harder to believe how fast almost 3 years have gone by, and I know it is not going to slow down. We had a wonderful visit with Grammy and Grandpa and Uncle Stinky Mouse. They got the kids a trampoline for their birthdays, they love it! The weather was SO beautiful the entire time they were here, we basically lived outside. It was wonderful!
Maddy is starting her second month of dance class. She is taking 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of tap every Tuesday evening. It is quite entertaining for her to show us her dance moves and what she has learned at class. She seems to really enjoy it! Maddox finally got his first "real" big boy cut on his forth haircut in a year. He is now sporting a little spikey do! He did really, really well considering, and we only ended up with one little "hole" which has now somewhat grown in. He looks SO much older. He is quite the little big man. He weighed 23 pounds at his one year well child a few weeks ago and feels like he has gained at least 10 since then. He is just a little solid man. He is starting to really tell you about things too- he is just a joy! Express had their big sale last weekend, so our labor day was spent at the ranch supporting Miles and visiting with a lot of friends we only get to see a couple times a year. We had a lovely surprise of Ms. Gail and Chey Chey coming to visit. They have only ever got to see Maddy one other time and had never got to meet Maddox. It was wonderful to get to see and visit with them!
